Parameter independent speed estimation technique for PMSM drive in electric vehicle

Abstract: Summary This paper presents a simple parameter independent speed estimation algorithm for vector‐controlled permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) drive. The speed estimation algorithm is formed using modified X‐MRAS (modified fictitious quantity model reference adaptive system), independent of machine parameter, integrator, and differentiator terms.
