Abstract:Introduction/backgroundArtery of Percheron infarction (AOP) is a rare cause of ischemic stroke characterized by bilateral thalamic infarcts with or without rostral midbrain involvement.It represents 0.1% of total ischemic strokes and 4% of thalamic strokes. We report 3 cases with AOP infarction that responded well to early anticoagulation.
