Abstract:In this paper, we introduce a new model called double splicing and its variants for generating pic tures. The family of languages generated by the proposed model is compared with a family of languages generated by an existing model namely H-array splicing, and also compared with family of local picture languages. Closure properties of the family of languages generated by a proposed model with respect to union, concatenation and rotation are studied
