Introduction: Carney triad is a slowly developing, non familial association of gastric stromal sarcomas, pulmonary chondromas, and paragangliomas (10% adrenal) occurring mainly in young women (85%). However, nonfunctioning adrenocortical adenomas also occur in the disorder (13%) and misdiagnosis may lead to unwarranted adrenalectomy. Patient report: This 52 year-old woman had gastric resections at 18 years and 37 years for recurrent sarcoma, right adrenalectomy at 37 years for a 3.5-cm pheochromocytoma, and one small lung chondroma was seen. At 52 years, she presented with intense sweating but normal blood pressure.
