Abstract: SummaryWe initiated an original papillary muscle head approximation procedure, commonly known as Sandwich plasty, for the treatment of ischemic mitral regurgitation (MR). In this study, we evaluated the appropriateness of this procedure for functional MR associated with aortic valve disease.
