“…In the fabrication of microfluidic electronics, flow with a constant velocity is usually more preferable, since electrochemical responses might be sensitive to the flow rate of electrolyte. Besides changing the geometry of the porous substrate, another more straightforward method to obtain a stationary flow is to incorporate absorbent pads …”

“…Some of these recent sensors include all-paper piezoresistive sensors for human movement detection, 11 hydrophobic paper sensors with gas permeability for gas detection, 12 nano-cellulose paper sensors for multi-channel biological detection, 13 temperature sensors 14 and humidity sensors. 15,16 In addition to sensors, paper has also been used for creating microfluidic batteries, 17,18 self-powered devices, [19][20][21][22] supercapacitors, [23][24][25] wet generators 26 and other types of paper-based devices.…”

“…A micro-power generation system can achieve ultra-high energy density energy power output at a microscale/intermediate scale, so as to meet the needs of micro-aircrafts, portable equipment, and other fields. 1 3 Therefore, in recent years, a large amount of research has been done on the development of various micro-power generation systems. Among them, micro-heat engines using liquid hydrocarbon fuels have attracted more and more attention because the heat released by the combustion of liquid fuels in these micro-heat engines may generate high-energy density power sources.…”
