Abstract:The evolution and spread of herbicide-resistant weeds threatens long-term sustainability of Canadian agro-ecosystems. Herbicide-resistant weeds increase management inputs and costs, increases off-target and environmental exposure to pesticides, reduces yield quality and quantity, and impedes harvest efficiency.
