“…As shown in Figure 5 A, the XPS spectrum of Pd 3d has doublet peaks that could be deconvoluted to four peaks, two main peaks centered at 333.3 and 338.4 eV matching with Pd 3d 5/2 and Pd 3d 3/2 of metallic Pd, and two weak peaks centered at 334.9 and 341.4 eV matching with Pd(II) 3d 5/2 and Pd(II) 3d 3/2 of palladium oxide (PdO). 41 However, for AgNPs/TiO 2 /Ti 3 C 2 T x , the Ag ions were reduced to metallic Ag without producing silver oxides, which could boost the oxidation of MXene and the formation of TiO 2 crystals. The Ag 3d XPS spectrum of AgNPs/TiO 2 /Ti 3 C 2 T x showed distinct peaks at 365.7 and 371.7 eV, which were assigned to Ag 3d 5/2 and Ag 3d 3/2 peaks, respectively, indicating the successful self-reduction of Ag nanoparticles on the MXene surface ( Figure 5 B).…”

“…Many researchers world over are working on converting nitroaromatics to amino aromatics using a variety of methods. [4][5][6] The conversion of nitro aromatic compounds into value added products using NaBH 4 as a reducing agent is a simple, fast, and environmentally friendly way to remove them from effluents. [3] Numerous nanocatalysts have been produced and tested for the nitrophenol reduction reaction.…”
