On the regional scale, other researchers such as Honigstein, Rosenfeld, and Benjamini (1991) dealt with ostracods and foraminifera from the Early-Middle Eocene of Qeren Sartaba area in Jordan Valley, which could coincide with the Egyptian ostracods.…”

Shahin et al (2008) identified 47 ostracod species, which contributed to estimate the palaeodepth of the studied sediments and palaeobiogeography of the recorded ostracods.…”

Moreover, El Baz and Khalil (2019) indicated that ostracods are similar to North Africa and the Middle East and show a limited affinity to the West African bioprovinces. Hassan and Korin (2019) dated the Observatory Formation, Qurn Formation, and Maadi Formation in the Qattamiya area to the Late Lutetian, Late Lutetian-Bartonian, and Priabonian age, respectively.…”
