After the revision of Petr Starý’s Charipinae collection, four new species of Alloxysta Förster, 1869 have been found. This collection represents a good overview of the Charipinae fauna worldwide, although the best represented area is Central Europe. Here, we describe four new species of Alloxysta: A. llumae Ferrer-Suay sp. nov., A. onae Ferrer-Suay sp. nov., A. poli Ferrer-Suay sp. nov. and A. staryi Ferrer-Suay & Pujade-Villar sp. nov. Three of these new species are based on reared specimens. Diagnosis, distribution, and description of the new species are given and illustrated.

So far, three other species have been cited in this country: A. consobrina (Ferrer-Suay et al, 2018) A. pusilla (Kieffer, 1902) (Ferrer-Suay et al, 2018 and Phaenoglyphis villosa (Hartig, 1841) (Ferrer-Suay et al, 2018). This could reflect that the subfamily is well present in this country, at least for Alloxysta and Phaenoglyphis genera, but it is necessary more collections to improve the knowledge of its real distribution.…”

Alloxysta victrix (Westwood, 1833) is here reported for the first time in Uşak province, western Turkey. As a cosmopolitan species it has been cited in all biogeographical regions and in neighboring countries of Turkey. This species emerged from turnip leaves infected by Athalia sp. (Hymenoptera: Tenthredinidae). Details about this new record is given as well as images of the morphological features which characterize the species.

The taxonomy of the hymenopteran parasitoid subfamily Charipinae (Hymenoptera: Cynipoidea: Figitidae) has, until recently, been in a state of chaos. While this situation has improved significantly in recent years, most of the efforts were focused on morphological data of typically old specimens. Here, we present the first integrative approach to describe the diversity of the genus Phaenoglyphis Förster, 1869 from north-western Europe. For seven (of a total of 17) species, we provide DNA barcode data. Phaenoglyphis belizini Pujade-Villar, 2018 and Phaenoglyphis evenhuisi Pujade-Villar & Paretas-Martínez, 2006 are recorded for the first time from Germany. All DNA barcodes and specimen data were added to the publicly available GBOL and BOLD reference database. The presence of a 6 bp long deletion in the CO1 barcode region that is characteristic to the genus and unique amongst Figitidae supports the monophyly of Phaenoglyphis.
