Abstract:iNTRODUCTiON: Cosmetic surgery has become increasingly popular and appears to convey both physical and psychological benefits to patients. Studies have documented improved self esteem and quality of life outcomes in patients after elective cosmetic surgery (-3). This study sought to examine this relationship quantitatively by determining whether antidepressant use was affected by the performance of cosmetic surgery.
