Abstract: Background/Aims The idiopathic inflammatory myopathies (IIMs) are associated with a number of antibodies which are linked to certain clinical phenotypes. The presence of anti-transcriptional intermediary factor-1 gamma (TIF-1y) is strongly associated with malignancy.
