Abstract: Background Transseptal puncture (TSP) for catheter ablation (CA) of left-sided tachycardias is traditionally performed with the aid of fluoroscopy. Compared to fluoroscopy, intracardiac echocardiography (ICE) can provide better orientation and imaging of soft tissue structures that are relevant to TSP.
