Abstract: Background Patients with Progressive Idiopathic Fibrotic Interstitial Lung Diseases (PIF-ILD) such as idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis have a short disease trajectory and have a similar prognosis to lung cancer patients. They have clear symptom control and quality of life (Qol) needs.
