Abstract:BACKGROUND
Tumor microtubes (TMs) are ultralong membrane protrusions of tumor cells in astrocytic gliomas, including glioblastomas. TMs are used as routes for brain invasion and for cells to interconnect over long distances resulting in a functional network that allows multicellular communication.
