P03-303 - Concurent Validation Of The Two Scales For Suicidal Assessment: Bss And S-Con

Abstract

The prevention of suicide is a top priority in mental health. This study explores the usefulness of BSS (Beck Suicidal Ideation Scale) and S-CON (Rorschach projective method, Exner, 1984) in the assessment of suicidal risk in psychiatric patients. Of the 67 assessed patients: 24 was depresses disorders, 22 had schizophrenia and 23 had personality disorders. Results show that total BSS score and total S-CON score are not in correlations. We found low and significant correlation between some items of two scales. We discussed about explanation of the low convergent validity within projective method and self report scales and questionnaires.
