P‐83: The Development of Mask‐Reduction Technology in LTPS LCD

Abstract

In order to gain a price advantage in the competition with AMOLED and a‐Si LCD, the manufacturing process of LTPS LCD is simplified. Several mask‐reduction technologies such as SALDD, LSM lessness, and PLN lessness are developed, and LTPS LCD with 9‐mask, 8‐mask, and 7‐mask technologies has been mass produced.
