P‐5.2: A novel arrangement of demux devices in active area

Abstract

We have developed a panel design that integrated the demux TFT into the active area (MIA). By placing the demux TFT in the pixel area, we eliminate the impact of the TFT to realize the narrower border. We optimized the connection of demux devices and data lines to reduce the horizontal wire in layout. The influences of the special design were verified. By introducing the novel arrangement of the circuit, the 12.3 inch LCD panel with proposed circuit was fabricated with the narrow border , and the height of the down border was reduced by 200um.
