P-260 - Selective mutism: a successfull case report

Abstract: Introduction: The essential characteristic of Selective Mutism is the consistent failure to speak in social situations where speech is expected, despite the capacity of speaking in familiar places or situations. The child usually refuses to speak at school, but speaks normally and well at home. Most cases start at preschool age and have transitory course.
