P‐222:Late‐News‐Poster:Mechanically‐Static Laser Speckle Reduction Solution

Abstract

A mechanically-static active diffuser with laser speckle reduction capability is demonstrated in this work. A nanoparticle-doped liquid crystal medium with electrically-activated time-varying random domain is prepared and studied. It reduces the speckle contrast from 0.6 to 0.04, which is close to the reported detection limit of speckle by human perception, 0.03.
