P‐176: New High‐Performance Algorithm for 2+2 Dynamic Drive Scheme for Cholesteric LCDs

Abstract: A novel waveform composition method for passive matrix addressing of Cholesteric LCDs is proposed. For the first time for 2+2 dynamic drive schemes we show that during addressing while one row is in the selection stage other rows can be in two different addressing stages -the preparation and holding stages. It allows us to decrease the frame time for addressing with no row-numberdependent and no data-pattern-dependent defects.
