P‐157L: Late‐News Poster: Cover Glass for Mobile Devices

Abstract: Fracture modes of cover glass of smartphones and tablet PCs were determined through fracture analysis. As a result, evaluation methods corresponding to two dominant fracture modes, edge fracture and surface fracture, were determined. Finally a guideline of chemical strengthening parameters for mobile display cover glass was proposed. Newly developed glass which is suitable for the guideline was introduced.
