The aim of this study is to examine the differentiation state of preschool teachers' liking of children and their professional burnout according to their personal characteristics and the predictive state of their professional burnout related to the teaching profession of the teachers' liking of children. 225 preschool teachers that were determined randomly on a voluntary basis from Ümraniye district on the Anatolian side and Küçükçekmece district on the European side of Istanbul participated in the study in the 2014-2015 academic year. The data were collected using a personal information form developed by the researcher, the "Barnett Liking of Children Scale" developed by Barnett and Sinisi (1990) and the "Maslach Burnout Inventory" developed by Maslach and Jackson (1981) and adapted into Turkish by Çam (1989Çam ( )-Ergin (1992. The data obtained were analyzed using the statistical package. The teachers' level of personal accomplishment demonstrates significant differences according to gender, the institution of employment and work efficiency, and depersonalization level demonstrates significant differences according to the institution of employment and work efficiency. While the level of the teachers' emotional exhaustion shows significant differences according to the willing professional choice and the opinion on work efficiency, it does not show significant differences according to the institution of employment. The teachers' burnout level demonstrates significant differences according to the institution they work in, the state of the willing professional choice and the opinion on work efficiency. The teachers' tendency of liking children shows significant differences according to gender, marital status, the number of children, the opinion on work efficiency, the institution they work in and the state of the willing professional choice. The differences observed between the scores obtained from the teachers' personal accomplishment and depersonalization scales are not significant. The teachers' tendency of liking children demonstrates a significant relationship with depersonalization, emotional exhaustion, personal accomplishment and burnout.

Bu çalışmanın amacı, ortaokullarda çalışan öğretmenlerin algılarına göre okul müdürlerinin toksik liderlik davranışları ile öğretmenlerin tükenmişlik düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkileri incelemektir. Araştırmada nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden ilişkisel tarama deseni kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın örneklemi 2015-2016 Eğitim öğretim yılında Denizli ili merkez ilçeleri Pamukkale ve Merkezefendi ilçe milli eğitim müdürlüklerine bağlı kamu ortaokul ve imam hatip ortaokullarında görev yapan 2302 öğretmen arasından oranlı eleman örnekleme yöntemine göre seçilen 352 öğretmenden oluşmaktadır. Araştırmanın verileri "Maslach Tükenmişlik Ölçeği" ve "Toksik (Zehirli) Liderlik Ölçeği" aracılığı ile toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde parametrik ve nonparametrik tekniklerden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre öğretmenler okul müdürlerinin toksik liderlik davranışı sergilediklerine katılmamakta, çok nadir de olsa duygusal tükenmişlik ve kişisel başarı hissinde azalma yaşamakta ancak hiçbir zaman duyarsızlaşma yaşamamaktadırlar. Tükenmişliğin bütün alt boyutları ile toksik liderliğin değer bilmezlik alt boyutu ve geneli arasında düşük düzeyde anlamlı bir ilişki saptanmıştır. Toksik liderliğin tüm boyutları birlikte duygusal tükenmişlik, duyarsızlaşma ve kişisel başarı hissinde azalmayı anlamlı olarak yordamaktadır.

Life satisfaction seems to be playing a vital role in the background as we go about our lives today in this day and age, no matter what we may do for a living. We sometimes think all about what we have experienced so far throughout our life as a whole and draw some conclusions. Teachers are however, the focal points for almost every government, community or society to date. Teaching, however, is more complex and intriguing than it is thought to be by the outsiders. Negative attitudes, lack of belief and alienation from the workplace, regarded as ‘organizational cynicism’ overall, are most significantvariables in this context. This study examines the relationship between life satisfaction and organizational cynicism in schools. It is designed as a quantitative research and analyzes data gathered from a sample of 198 teachers working in the southeastern part of Turkey. ‘The Satisfaction with Life Scale’ and ‘Organizational Cynicism Scale’ was utilized to gather data. The study focuses on teachers’ overall level of life satisfaction and organizational cynicism. Additionally, since correlational relationships were investigated, the results of the respondents indicated a negative correlation. Behavioural cynicism appears to be the most effective subscale on life satisfaction level of teachers.
