Oxidative stress, anti‐oxidant therapies and chronic kidney disease

Abstract: Oxidative stress is an important mechanism of injury in chronic kidney disease. Potential pathways of oxidative stress mediating kidney injury are discussed. “…Green tea consumption appeared to increase HO-1 protein levels in lymphocytes in both L/L and S/S groups although the S/S group showed higher baseline levels of HO-1protein than the L/L group.
