Oxidation‐Reduction Molecular Junction Covalent Organic Frameworks for Full Reaction Photosynthesis of H2O2

Abstract: The full reaction photosynthesis of H 2 O 2 that can combine water-oxidation and oxygen-reduction without sacrificial agents is highly demanded to maximize the light-utilization and overcome the complex reaction-process of anthraquinone-oxidation. Here, a kind of oxidation-reduction molecular junction covalentorganic-framework (TTF-BT-COF) has been synthesized through the covalent-coupling of tetrathiafulvalene (photo-oxidation site) and benzothiazole (photo-reduction site), which presents visible-light-adsorp… Show more

“…The ring potential was fixed at 1.2 V versus a reversible hydrogen electrode (RHE) to collect the produced H 2 O 2 . All potentials measured against the SCE were converted to the RHE scale using Eqn (5). The selectivity of H 2 O 2 can be calculated based on Eqn (6) 14 :…”

“…3,4 The production of H 2 O 2 has increased in recent years, reaching 6.5 million tons by 2022. 5 At present, the main production method of H 2 O 2 is the anthraquinone process. 6,7 However, this method necessitates costly catalysts and time-consuming reactant extraction steps.…”
