Ownership, Risk and Regulation of MFIs in Central Africa Countries

Abstract: Provided the regulatory reforms of MFIs in CEMAC Zone since 2002, we run a comparative analysis of risks associated with MFIs ownership forms. Then, we got extract from MIX market database. Specifically, the dataset included 28 MFIs from Central Africa over the period 2001-2017. We found out that commercial orientation and large scale are associated with high good exposure.
