Abstract:Background
The World Health Organization (WHO) defines a person with a body mass index (BMI) greater than or equal to 25 kg/m2 as overweight. Being overweight is a lifestyle-related disease; however, little is known about the impact of overweight on the perioperative complications of orthopedic surgery. This study aimed to define the effect of overweight on the perioperative complications of spinal surgery.
