Overview of Green Energy as a Real Strategic Option for Sustainable Development

Abstract: The global renewable energy landscape is changing rapidly. Green energies reduce greenhouse gas emissions, diversify the energy supply, and lower dependence on volatile and uncertain fossil fuel markets. The future looks promising for green energy sources, which are taking on an increasingly important role, especially in the current context, as governments are trying to identify viable solutions to the energy crisis and reduce dependence on fossil fuels. Worldwide, there is a growing interest in and support fo… Show more

“…However, this narrative is complicated by concerns around inefficiencies and increased operational costs in the absence of adequate energy management and grid integration strategies, as pointed out by Alam et al [55], Al-Shetwi et al [56], and Sinsel et al [57]. Nonetheless, the overarching sentiment, as echoed by Kabeyi and Olanrewaju [58] and Androniceanu and Sabie [59], is that the enduring benefits of renewable energy-from environmental preservation to bolstering economic stability and growth-vastly outweigh the transitional challenges. In summation, the scholarly dialogue robustly affirms renewable energy's instrumental role in fostering economic sustainability, emphasizing the imperative for technological innovation, strategic policy implementation, and sector-specific adjustments.…”

“…Power cuts or even shutdowns are planned for factories, and bill increases are predicted for households. This only highlights the need for urgent solutions and their implementation in the field of renewable energy (Androniceanu & Sabie, 2022). They can be developed on the innovative basis in this area (Angelova & Pastarmadzhieva, 2020;Gavkalova et al, 2022).…”

“…Compared to RESs, conventional energy sources also have a number of disadvantages, including the maximum costs, maximum pollution levels, rapid depletion rates, and strict rules regarding GHG pollution [7]. The advantages of RESs over conventional energy sources, in contrast, are their affordability, environmental friendliness, low maintenance requirements, and the fact that they do not deplete when used [8]. The majority of countries, therefore, plan to utilize RESs, such as solar, wind, wave, and hydropower, for a range of uses, including heating, energy, and transportation [9].…”
