Overexpression of an Arabidopsis thaliana ABC transporter confers kanamycin resistance to transgenic plants

Abstract: Selectable markers of bacterial origin such as the neomycin phosphotransferase type II gene, which can confer kanamycin resistance to transgenic plants, represent an invaluable tool for plant engineering.
