Clarifying the definition of control in childbirth and defining its attributes can help inform women and maternity providers throughout the world. This analysis provides clarity to a previously tenuous concept and allows practitioners to better understand the critical relationship between control in childbirth and satisfaction with the childbirth experience. It also has the potential to affect perinatal outcomes and subsequently healthcare costs.

Zusammenfassung Herausforderungen Eine effektive Verzahnung der Kooperation von Versorgungsebenen und Leistungserbringern hat zentrale Bedeutung für niedrige Hospitalisierungsraten sowie bedarfsgerechte medizinische und pflegerische Versorgung älterer insulinpflichtiger Typ-2-Diabetiker.1 Die zentralen Herausforderungen der berufsgruppenübergreifenden Zusammenarbeit bestehen darin, die Insulintherapie nicht nur an Stoffwechselzielen zu orientieren, sondern ebenso die Patientensicherheit, ökonomische Effizienz und individuelle Lebensqualitätsvorstellungen von Patienten und deren Angehörigen zu berücksichtigen. 1–3
