Ovarian remission in cats is a distant adverse consequence of surgical castration

Abstract: It has been established that in part (13 %) of cats who have undergone ovariohysterectomy, sexual devotions are restored with time. In determining the levels of sex hormones in the blood of this group of animals, a high content of progesterone, 7 times higher than the level of a hormone in the blood corresponding to its content in intact animals, was found.
