Visually impaired and blind people (VIBP) have to face significant difficulties on trying to locate public transport vehicles and bus stops due to their vision restrictions. Over the past decade, diverse assistance systems have been developed to solve this problem. However, most of them are based upon the global positioning system (GPS) and present satellite coverage problems in indoor environments. Some others are wearable prototypes that turn out to be onerous for the user. This paper presents an assistance system for VIBP in the use of public transportation. The proposed system uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) technology for location and communication purposes and a developed mobile application for user-smartphone interaction. The BLE beacons are installed on buses and their stops; accordingly, the mobile application tracks them in real-time and provides the relevant information to the user by means of verbal instructions; transportation line, destination, next stop name, and current location. This information allows the user to properly select the desired bus in advance and get off at the correct destination stop. The proposed system has been tested within two different scenarios; (1) under controlled conditions and (2) in a real environment. The results show that the proposed system is 97.6% effective when VIBP travel from one point to another independently. In addition, according to an assessment sheet completed by the participants, the proposed system grants them greater confidence and independence than GPS-based systems because of the following reasons; firstly, it can work with internet connection or without internet connection. Secondly, it is not an onerous system; information about the location of vehicles and stops is provided in real-time. Last but not least, it does not present satellite coverage problems in indoor environments. The study explains the difficulties of writing faced by Bangladeshi higher secondary students and gives the possible solution to overcome them. Several studies have been conducted to investigate the implementation of media like Facebook, YouTube, and mobile phone among Bangladeshi postgraduates and undergraduates’ students to improve their academic writing. However, few studies have focused on the writing challenges that Bangladeshi High school students faced in their writing by using newspaper. This study also attempts to investigate the impact of using newspaper to secondary school students to enhance their communicative competence in writing. In particular, this study employs the explanatory sequential mixed methods design as a means of researching the reciprocity between newspaper use and its effects on the writing skill. Data was collected by using pretest, posttest, and a semi-structure interview. Collected data was analysed quantitatively սѕіոg tհе Stаtіѕtіϲаӏ Pаϲkаgе fοr Sοϲіаӏ Sϲіеոϲеѕ (SPSS) Vеrѕіοո 27. The validity was checked depending on the pilot study and referees whereas the reliability was checked by using a pretest-posttest method with an interval time of four weeks. Findings have suggested that the reading of newspaper use habits exert significant impacts on the writing skills. Furthermore, it has recommended the implementation of newspaper can improve the communicative competence in writing at secondary school students of Bangladesh.

Purpose: In this study, we reviewed the errors encountered in the English text of the students. That the Russian language was their mother tongue and the English language was their foreign language. Methodology: The aims of the present pilot study were to the analysis of foreign language tests in groups in the direction of "Oil and Gas Business", "Automobile Industry" in the Branch of IUT in Surgut, Tyumen Industrial University. We analyzed the written tests of the students involved in the research, applying the error manual of Dagneaux, which was altered in accordance with the purpose of our paper. Result: Our findings will constitute a database necessary to conceive a more effective teaching and learning process that focuses not only on translation classes but also on the acquisition of English as a foreign language in general. Applications: This research can be used for universities and higher education students. Novelty/Originality: In this research, the model of ESL teaching is presented in a comprehensive and complete manner.
