Abstract: Background: Thyrotropin (also known as thyroid stimulating hormone (TSH)) receptors antibodies (TRAb) activate thyroid follicular cells in the autoimmune condition known as Graves' hyperthyroidism, which causes thyrotoxicosis and swelling of the thyroid gland.
