Abstract: Background: Insertional Achilles tendinopathy (IAT) is a common condition causing pain and dysfunction. Patients with diabetes, hyperlipidemia, hypothyroidism, and obesity are at increased risk of developing IAT. These comorbidities also carry an increased risk of wound healing complications following surgery.
