Abstract: BackgroundAntithrombotic agents are the mainstay for prevention of stroke in patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) and/or rheumatic heart disease (RHD). However, the impact of antithrombotic agents on cerebral microbleeds (CMBs) and leukoaraiosis remains contro-versial.
