Outcome of distal femoral fractures treated with locking compression plates

Abstract: <p class="abstract"><strong>Background:</strong> Fixation of distal femoral fractures with a lateral plate alone is associated with nonunion and/or malunion with varus collapse. Locking compression plates may reduce the tendency of varus collapse.
