“…Haemophilus parainfluenzae , a Gram-negative coccobacillus, constitutes part of the normal flora of the oral cavity, and is also occasionally isolated from urethral and vaginal specimens. 1 Although H. parainfluenzae is a rare cause of pediatric bacterial infections, increasing numbers of cases with meningitis and endocarditis have been recently reported.
