Osteosarcoma After Total Knee Arthroplasty

Abstract: Case: A 79-year-old woman presented with a periprosthetic fracture 8 years after a total knee arthroplasty (TKA). Radiographs demonstrated tibial implant loosening with severe osteolysis. A high-grade osteosarcoma around the prosthesis was diagnosed, and a supracondylar femoral amputation was performed. After 2 years, no complications have occurred.
