As leaders of educational organizations, school administrators can change teachers' perceptions of school positively or negatively with leadership styles they have. The purpose of this study is to determine in what direction and level the narcissistic leadership behaviors of school administrators is related with teachers' organizational trust and cynicism levels according to teachers' perceptions. Teachers' perceived organizational cynicism and perceived organizational trust were shown to have a negative and moderate relationship. This indicates that the increase in organizational cynicism ultimately decreases organizational trust. Also, 37% of the total variance in the organizational cynicism variable is explained by the behaviours of narcissistic leader. Furthermore, 52% of the total variance of organizational trust variable is explained on the basis of narcissistic leadership behaviors and a direct effect of organizational cynicism latent variable, as well as an indirect effect of narcissistic leadership behaviors through the organizational cynicism variable. As a result, the narcissistic leadership behaviors of school administrators can damage organizational trust and increase organizational cynicism.

Bu araştırmanın amacı, öğretmen görüşlerine göre okullarda şeffaflık ile örgütsel sinizm düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkinin incelenmesidir. Nicel araştırma yöntemlerinden ilişkisel tarama modelinde yapılan bu çalışmanın örneklemini, 2018-2019 eğitim-öğretim yılında İstanbul ilinin Avcılar ilçesindeki devlet okullarında görev yapmakta olan 2465 öğretmen arasından basit tesadüfî örnekleme yöntemi ile seçilen 336 öğretmen oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada veriler; Öğretmene Yönelik Örgütsel Sinizm Ölçeği, Okul Şeffaflık Ölçeği ve demografik özellikleri belirlemek amacıyla hazırlanan Kişisel Bilgi Formu aracılığıyla toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde betimsel istatistik teknikleri, bağımsız örneklem t-testi, Mann Whitney-U Testi, tek yönlü varyans (One-Way ANOVA) analizi, PostHoc-Tukey testi ve korelasyon analizi uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgulara göre okul şeffaflık düzeyleri yüksek, öğretmenlerin örgütsel sinizm düzeyleri düşük seviyede olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Örgütsel sinizm düzeylerinin cinsiyet, yaş, mesleki kıdem, medeni durum ve branş değişkenleri açısından anlamlı bir farklılık göstermediği tespit edilmiştir. Okul şeffaflık düzeylerinde de cinsiyet, yaş, mesleki kıdem, medeni durum ve branş değişkenleri açısından anlamlı bir farklılık olmadığı saptanmış olup, sadece mesleki kıdem değişkeninde değerlendirmede şeffaflık alt boyutu puanları arasında anlamlı bir farklılık tespit edilmiştir. Bununla birlikte öğretmenlerin örgütsel sinizm düzeyleri ile okul şeffaflık düzeyleri arasında negatif yönde orta seviyede anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu tespit edilmiştir. Buna göre okul şeffaflık düzeyi arttıkça öğretmenlerin örgütsel sinizm düzeyi azalmaktadır.

Mehmet Akif Ersoy is one of the most important figures who has guided the change and development of the society in which he has lived for a long time by influencing the broad masses with both his works and ideas in our history of culture and civilization. He was interested in the practical and fiqh dimension rather than the theoretical dimension of religion. Akif recommends that the current understanding of religion and science be corrected in the light of reason based directly on the Qur’an, Sunnah and Salaf ulama in order to eliminate the scientific and technological decline experienced in the entire Islamic world. He asserted that, for the renewel and development of society, a person should strive to achieve the science and technology brought by the era, taking into account his religious and moral values. He was of the opinion that the world and the hereafter exist in a balance, that it would be wrong to sacrifice one for the other. Akif’s understanding of fiqh coincides with the integrity of religion-morality-law, as well as the integrity of the world-hereafter, which is one of the characteristic features of the science of fiqh. According to him, in order to achieve the desired change and development in society and have the fiqh to comply with the conditions of the time, it is utmost necessary to train clergy who correctly know and apply fiqh. He believed that the social problems caused by religion are not caused by the theory of religion, but by the religious philosophy, in other words, by the wrong perception of religion/fiqh by Muslims. Akif believes that society misunderstands many religious/fiqh concepts and principles. Unfortunately, this opinion is also an undeniable reality today.
