“…The older source has T DM ages compatible with the crystallization ages from the Orosirian magmatic episodes of the Erepecuru-Trombetas and Irirí-Xingu Domain (Leal et al 2018); in turn, the younger (more juvenile) source have T DM ages similar to the crystallization ages of the Ventuari-Tapajós Province formation stage (Cuiú-Cuiú -island arc; Creporizão -continental arc; Tropas -island arc/continental arc) (Santos et al 2004).…”

“…The T DM model ages of the Água Branca Suite in the southern part of the Guiana Shield are predominantly Siderian and Rhyacian, and negative eNd values suggest a derivation from either crustal or juvenile sources (Almeida 2006). Nd Archean model ages were not encountered (Vasquez and Rosa-Costa 2008, Barreto et al 2013, Leal et al 2018. However, Semblano et al (2016), working with similar calc-alkaline granites of the Iriri-Xingu Domain of the Central Brazil Shield, indicated that some Archean crustal material may have been mixed with juvenile Paleoproterozoic material.…”

“…Pb evaporation ages of 1.88 Ga, and associated them with the Iricoumé Group. Moreover, Leal et al (2018), for the same region, determined U-Pb zircon ages for granitoids of the Mapuera and Água Branca suites (Table 1).…”

“…However, a weak negative ε Nd (-2.8) and Siderian T DM model age (2.4 Ga) of one I-type granite of the western part of the domain suggests mixing of Archean crustal with Paleoproterozoic juvenile material (Semblano et al 2016). This juvenile source is stronger in the continuation of the Central Amazonian province in the Guiana shield, as shown in the ε Nd -3.0 to 2.9 and T DM 2.39 to 1.95 Ga of igneous rocks of 1.99-1.98 Ga and 1.89-1.88 Ga (Barreto et al 2014, Leal et al 2018. Based on Nd isotope data and absence of Archean heritage, Barreto et al (2014) have supported a discussion on the occurrence of the Central Amazonian province in this shield and the east limit of Ventuari-Tapajós province.…”
