Abstract:Background: Acute Encephalitis Syndrome (AES) is a leading cause of mortality and morbidity. Japanese encephalitis (J.E.) is the most prevalent mosquito borne viral encephalitis , occurring in Japan, China, Southeast Asia and India, affecting around 50,000 people and 15,000 deaths annually (4,5
