Abstract:Optical absorption and emission properties of a monosubstituted polyacetylene poly[(4-hexylcarbonyl-biphenyl-4 0 -oxy)-1-propyne] have been investigated by means of ultraviolet-visible spectrophotometry, fluorescence spectroscopy, and electronic structure calculations, respectively.
