“…The 87 Sr/ 86 Sr values of CD1 and C1 are higher than those in Middle Ordovician seawater (Figure 8). The main mechanisms that cause the 87 Sr/ 86 Sr values of diagenetic fluid higher than those of seawater include: (a) The influx of continental water from silicon‐rich aluminate strata with radioactive 87 Sr increases the 87 Sr/ 86 Sr in the primitive diagenetic fluids (Grobe, Machel, & Heuser, 2000; Palmer & Edmond, 1989; Pu, Yuan, Zhang, & Zhao, 2012); (b) the influx of deep hydrothermal fluids derived from the underlying highly metamorphosed rocks with radioactive 87 Sr increase the 87 Sr/ 86 Sr values of diagenetic fluids (Harris, 1995; Jiang et al, 2021). As discussed above, the REE concentration and the REE pattern with no positive Eu anomaly of CD1 and C1 can exclude the hydrothermal origin.…”
