Abstract:Plasmon-coupled waveguide (PCW) is an interesting structure that combines plasmons with dielectric waveguides to achieve dual polarization and improved properties of optical modes that are beneficial for fluorescence modulations. This study investigates the effect of emission dipole orientations on the mode-coupled emission from fluorophores doped on a PCW-substrate that is designed to support one S-and one P-polarized waveguide (WG) mode. Differently oriented excited populations of the fluorophore, sulforhoda… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
