Organophosphate-induced inhibition of acetylcholinesterase, oxidative stress and neuroinflammation

Abstract: Organophosphate (OP) neurotoxicants exert their toxicity by inhibiting acetylcholinesterase. Overstimulation of cholinergic receptors can rapidly lead to neuronal damage, seizures, death, and long-term neurological damage in survivors.
