Abstract:Ulcerative colitis (UC) is a chronic inflammatory bowel disease characterised by relapsing and remitting mucosal inflammation of the colon. Despite primarily affecting the gastrointestinal tract, UC has various extraintestinal manifestations that often affect other organs and systems.
