Research Question: How is the accounting profession engaging with digitalization for delivery of services? How is digital transformation of accounting firms impacted by the Covid-19 outbreak? Motivation: Nowadays information and communication technologies are vital for companies to carry out their business operations. In a dynamic business environment, the speed of information production, the accuracy, immediate access to information, instant communication and electronic data transfer are crucial. In times of crisis, characterized by uncertainty, social and economic imbalances, managers need the financial and non-financial information much faster, more frequent and with a higher level of detail in order to make prompt decisions and ensure the business continuity. Idea: I investigate the rising importance of digital technologies for delivery of accounting services using the theory of change as theoretical framework in the context of Covid-19 pandemic as a strong pressure that forced the companies to accelerate their digitalization process. Data and tools: My methodological approach involves a qualitative analysis of data collected from semi-structured interviews with 21 professionals working within accounting firms. Findings: Following the theory of change, the results indicated that Covid-19 pandemic put high pressure on people to change their perceptions and behaviour and they adapted quite well and fast to the new reality characterized by social distancing. Digital technologies played a key role in helping organizations to carry on their activities and overcome the people's resistance to the changes related to work, mobility and social interactions. According to the conceptual model, digitalization process within the companies was accelerated and digital transformation was achieved by engaging technologies, employees and clients. Some companies embraced outsourcing due to the loss of staff and the need to save money. Several accounting firms implemented telework and they exchanged documents and reports with their clients in cloud. The use of digital technologies enabled many accounting firms to gain new clients located in other cities. Moreover, some accounting firms adopted robotic process automation and even hired remote professionals from other cities because of labour shortage.

Organizational transformation in the Regional Representative Council (DPRD) has a high urgency given its central role in the democratic system and public decision-making. This study aims to examine the organizational transformation of the DPRD of Takalar Regency and to analyze the determinant factors in the organizational transformation of the institution. The method used in this research is descriptive with a qualitative approach. The informants for this study consisted of DPRD secretariats, DPRD members, and political party officials, with a total of 21 informants. This research collects primary data through FGD. The results of the study show that organizational transformation at the DPRD Takalar secretariat is carried out to 1) increase efficiency in policy-making and supervising executive performance through optimizing decision-making processes and improving legislative products; 2) strengthen accountability and transparency in DPRD; and 3) strengthening the relationship between the DPRD and the community. DPRD must be an inclusive forum for public participation and community aspirations. Overall, organizational transformation in the DPRD has a high urgency to improve efficiency, accountability, capacity, and relations with the community. By adopting an approach that focuses on system change, organizational culture, and community involvement, DPRD can become a more responsive, effective institution, and able to respond to the challenges faced by society and the state.

Purpose Complex crises affect tightly coupled systems making them highly unpredictable. This paper aims to determine how organizations learn from their crisis experience shaping their knowledge and transformation trajectory toward and beyond survival. A theoretical framework integrating organizational learning (OL) and knowledge management in organizational transformation (OT) in complex crises is presented. Design/methodology/approach This conceptual paper presents a systematic literature review on OT in crisis from 2000 to 2021. To achieve integration, the authors searched for studies on OT, knowledge management and OL, each paired with a crisis. Findings Crises highlight the emergent and decentered nature of knowing and organizing. This study suggests that OT is achieved through various changes in organizational knowledge. Different learning modes enable the transformation of knowledge in a crisis: contextual or situated learning, strategic and collective integration. Research limitations/implications The authors' pandemic experience may have influenced the analysis. This paper does not account for new types of learning emerging due to the influence of digital technologies. Practical implications Organizations may hasten renewal through distributed crisis management facilitated by contextual and strategic learning and collective integration. Originality/value This study categorizes learning, based on its function in crisis management, into three types: contextual learning for creative problem-solving, strategic learning for leadership and direction and collective integration to evaluate their crisis journey. Through this classification, this study sheds light on the types of knowledge needed to manage crises effectively, showing that organizations can leverage their crises by transforming and innovating themselves in this turbulent period.
