PT. Nusa Indah Metalindo merupakan perusahaan yang bergerak di bidang manufaktur baja ringan. Hasil produksinya adalah produk-produk galvalum. Seperti pada umumnya kegiatan operasional yang dijalankan dapat menimbulkan risiko dalam berbagai bentuk. Perancangan manajemen risiko yang ideal sangat dibutuhkan untuk menghindari terjadinya risiko sehingga tujuan pencapaian tepat biaya, waktu, dan mutu atau kualitas produk dapat terpenuhi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah identifikasi risiko dan mencari agen penyebab risiko yang paling berpengaruh pada kegiatan operasional dengan menggunakan metode HOR atau House of Risk fase 1 dan House of Risk fase 2. HOR digunakan untuk mengidentifikasi risk event, risk agent pada kegiatan operasional dan juga merancang strategi mitigasi untuk risk agent berdasarkan nilai ARP (Aggregate Risk Potensial). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 25 risk event dengan 49 risk agent yang teridentifikasi. Risk agent yang akan dimitigasi berdasarkan nilai ARP sebanyak tiga risk agent yaitu A26 (Karyawan hilang fokus karena terlalu lelah), A6 (Demand yang berubah), dan A1 (Kurang teliti). Dan strategi mitigasi yang digunakan untuk mencegah penyebab risiko adalah penerapan “reward and punishment” untuk peningkatan kinerja, right man on the right position, shift panjang diganti shift pendek, customer management untuk mendapatkan info market dalam waktu yang cepat, melakukan fungsi market intelligence, melakukan training pada karyawan.

Highlights similarities, as well as differences, between European and Japanese approaches to implementing computer‐integrated manufacturing (CIM), and is based on research which uses the 7S model, developed by McKinsey & Co., as an underlying framework. Considers a number of pertinent factors which were employed to define a sample frame: first, to judge the influence of CIM on world‐class manufacturing organizations, researches manufacturing companies in key developed countries with an established manufacturing base; second, emphasizes the impact of CIM on profit‐seeking businesses; third, as the survey assessed the integration of leading‐edge technology, the sample of manufacturing organizations comprised technology‐driven companies.

This paper reports the findings of small and medium scale Indian manufacturing industries. The report included four different industry sectors, i.e. automobile, electronics and electrical, manufacturing sector and processing sector. Responses from 242 industries are analysed and presented in this paper. It is observed that Indian industries invests more in ‘Manufacturing AMT’ rather than ‘Design AMT’ or ‘Administrative AMT’ to make the production system simple; ‘Design AMT’ is the second choice to join together the various systems, and finally to automate the manufacturing systems the companies are investing in ‘Administrative AMT’.
