Organization of the mitochondrial genome of Ramulus irregulatiter dentatus (Phasmatidae: Phasmatidae)

Abstract: Recently, the species of the insect order Phasmatodea, have attracted the interest of more and more enthusiasts. Here, we obtained the complete mitochondrial genome of Ramulus irregulatiter dentatus (R. irregulatiter dentatus), which belongs to the subfamily of Phasmatidae, detected by Illumina next-generation sequencing. The entire mitochondrial genome is 16,060 bp in length and contains a standard set of 13 protein-coding genes, 22 transfer RNA genes (tRNAs), 2 ribosomal RNA genes (rRNAs), and a putative A +… Show more

“…Our study supported the monophyly of Phasmatidae, which is sister to Necrosciinae in the BI tree. This topology was recovered by Zhang et al [100]. Phasmatidae contain many subfamilies, and Clitumninae has a rich diversity of species.…”

“…3,4 Cladomorphus phyllinus Gray, 1835 shares with the others the habit of living on plants and feed exclusively on leaves and buds. 5,6 Cladomorphus phyllinus is polyphagous and widely distributed throughout northeast of Argentina, southern Amazon, eastern Brazil including Mata Atlântica and nearby regions. 5,7,8 For construction of the cohort life table or dynamic life table is necessary the number of individuals in every age group, the probability of survival and fertility rate.…”
