Every year, more than 1 million new cases of colorectal cancer (CRC) are registered around the world. 30% of identified patients already have distant metastases. patients with metastatic colorectal cancer are one of the most difficult groups to develop treatment tactics and have an unfavorable long-term prognosis. However, in addition to the oncological prevalence, complications accompanying the tumor process often come to the fore in patients in this group. The complicated course of the primary tumor makes chemotherapy difficult or, in some cases, makes systemic treatment impossible, which accordingly worsens the prognosis of the disease. This group of patients needs to undergo surgical treatment at the first stage: what volume of surgery should be performed: to form a colostioma or to perform a cytoreductive R2 resection to remove the primary tumor focus?
